The lake of Arló
In the 19th and 20th century coal was mined in the village and it caused smaller and bigger resonance because of its process. The Csahó hill was broken away 3 times from the west side and it closed the valley of the Szuhony brook. This natural baffle arrested the runoff of the fall from the 10 km long area and soon there was a lake instead of the meadow and ploughland. The water was getting higher and higher and it threatened the village with flood so it was neccessary to make the datum water level. The present water control was made with the help of the anglers. Finally, nowadays the lake has a constant size, it is 8,1 Ha. The inhabitants soon realized that the lake and the lake have good opportunities. They started to build week-end houses and then they could build out the strand. In these days the camping and the plage is still working. People, who spend their free-time here, can swim, fish and row. The week-end houses and this part of the area -around the lake- have drinking water, gas, television and telephone. The area was preserved by the local government.
The landscape protection area of "Tarnavidék"
This part of the area - called Ó-Bükk and Heves-Borsodi hill - was not very interesting in the last decades. There was not any interesting documents about the local flora and fauna. The enthusiastic conservationists light on the valuable animals and plants with hard and long work. After the exploration they procreated the landscape protection area, in which Arló's periphery is the most remarkable area. The Gyepes-valley is a real speciality for those people who know the nature. Many kinds of special animals and plants live in the valley's brook and among the alders. The valley is closed to all vehicles what gives a good opportunity to the tourists who want to be in quiet and calm.
